The 1964 World Championship Road Race was held in Sallanches, France. The 290 km race course around Sallanches presented a tough 25 laps of the 11.6 km race course.
Jan Janssen (Ned) launched a great sprint and won the 1964 World Road Race Championship ahead of Vittorio Adorni (Ita) and Raymond Poulidor (Fra).
